A bigger, better and extremely appealing day for all the family – especially children is Downpatrick Racecourse Manager, Richard Lyttle’s aim for the now annual Family Fun Day at the local racecourse on Monday 14 July.

A set of four return flights provided by Jet 2 airline to one of their holiday destinations is the prize available to those who book tickets early via the track’s website.
Jet 2 Terms and conditions apply and the final list of contenders will be allocated a horse in one of the races with the prize going to the winning “owner” of the horse.
Admission is £10 per adult which allows for two accompanied children FREE and on arrival they will receive a goodie bag containing various items. An endless list of attractions, entertainment and events comprise the day with the jump racing the backdrop on Family Fun Day.
Various races for children will take place along with miniature pony races while a toddlers tricycle Derby has also been organised while the popular pony rides will again feature along with the chance to have a go on the bungee jump.
During the afternoon families can visit the pets corner,the mini Fun Fair, Face painting and make friends with the cartoon characters.
Fashion on the Field with various prizes will be judged on the day with the categories – TRENDY MUMMY – SMART GENT – GLAMOUROUS GRANNY – COOL KIDZ
Children can also take part in the Downpatrick’s Got Talent and children’s disco. Q100.5 FM will broadcast live from the course and live music post-racing will be provided by Just Adam and The Chancers.
