Druid return to the Lyric Theatre with three classic, rip-roaring, one-act plays by one of Ireland’s greatest playwrights, Seán O’Casey.

Following their sold-out run of Druid O’Casey in 2023, they are hitting the road once more for an 11-venue national tour of O’Casey’s Three Short Comedies A Pound on Demand, Bedtime Story, and The End of the Beginning.
Suitable for ages 10 and up, these short comedies are perfect for both loyal O’Casey fans, and newcomers experiencing his work for the first time.
Split in to 3 acts, each runs between 25 to 40 minutes, with a short interval between each of them.
The Lyric looks forward to welcoming you back into the world of Sean O’Casey at the Lyric Theatre next month, as part of Druid’s tour.
Since 1975, Druid have been criss-crossing the country to bring world-class theatre to audiences in their own communities. This new national tour marks the beginning of their 50th anniversary programme in 2025.
