Caring commitment celebrated as nurse retires after 46 years in Downpatrick

After 46 years of dedicated service to patients and families across the South Eastern Trust, District Nurse, Briege Magee from the Downpatrick District Nursing Team has retired, bringing to a close an exceptional career devoted to caring for others.

Throughout her career, Briege provided compassionate nursing care to countless patients in their own homes, supporting individuals and their families through some of life’s most challenging times.

Her professionalism, kindness and unwavering commitment earned the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of the many people whose lives she touched.

Colleagues gathered to celebrate Briege’s remarkable career and to thank her for her outstanding contribution to Community Nursing.
