St. Patrick’s Golf Club, Downpatrick were delighted to present a cheque for £360 to the Cancer Fund for Children and Daisy Lodge, the charity’s therapeutic short break centre located in Newcastle.

In addition to the money raised, St. Patrick’s Golf Club have also extended an invitation to families affected by cancer receiving support in Daisy Lodge and their immediate family to enjoy a round of golf as guests of the Club.

Last year’s Irish Open at Royal County Down, hosted by the Rory Foundation, brought the spotlight to the facility and the wonderful work it does to give families affected by cancer a warm and welcoming place to stay.

Members of St. Patrick’s Golf Club in response took the opportunity to support this deserving, local charity by raising £360 as a result of a golf tournament.

Current Vice-Captain, Gerard Killen presented the cheque to Andrew Boal, Community and Clubs Fundraiser at Cancer Fund for Children, who also provided a tour of state-of-the-art facility.
