Three men aged 42, 20 and 18 have been detained in connection with a serious assault on a 45-year old man that occurred in the Carraig View area of Downpatrick in the early hours of Wednesday 2 July.
At approximately 1.20am, police received the report of the assault. The 45-year old man is currently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this time. His condition is currently described as stable.
