Judith Thompson, PCSP Officer, for the Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership, is asking for local farmers and the public to support events running in Newcastle and Downpatrick over the next few weeks.

  • Trailer Marking Wednesday 18th May at Tollymore Forest Park in Upper car park on from 4-6pm

“The purpose of the Trailer marking event provides a really valuable scheme where trailers are marked by painting a unique number on them – marking the trailers like this makes them easier to identify if stolen and helps get them quickly back to the owner once recovered.

“The local Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be present to security mark your trailers and also offer crime prevention advice, information and support as well as answering all your queries you may wish to raise directly with your local PSNI.

  • Community Safety Clinic on  Thursday 19th May at Newcastle Community Cinema from 12noon til 2pm .
  • Community Safety Clinic on Friday 20th May at St Patricks Centre , Downpatrick from 12noon til 2pm

“The Community Safety Clinic provides an opportunity to discuss and meet  with the local neighbourhood policing team for these areas  to raise  any community safety matters regards Crime Prevention including protection of your home and information on financial scams as well as answering all your queries you may wish to raise directly with your local PSNI,” said Judith Thompson.
