Local to run in London Marathon for Donaghadee RNLI Lifeboat.
Ali Gunning, is running the London Marathon in aid of Donaghadee Lifeboat Station.
Ali lives in Donaghadee and is a member of the local running club, the Dee Runners. She runs in Donghadee regularly and wants to raise some funds for her local station.
Last year, £26,000 was raised for the RNLI by Donaghadee lifeboat stations fundraising team, not including the sales from the lifeboat shop.
Peter Irwin, Lifeboat Operations Manager at Donaghadee said: “We are so delighted that Ali has chosen to run the London Marathon for us, we had 26 call outs in 2018 and without wonderful people like Ali raising funds for the RNLI our volunteer crew and the lifeboat wouldn’t be able to Save Lives at Sea.
“Best of luck to Ali Gunning from all at Donaghadee lifeboat station”.
