District Electoral Area Forums To Host Public Meetings On New Funding Sources

Newry Mourne and Down District Council are delighted to report on the progress of their newly formed District Electoral Area Fora and this opportunity to engage has been gratefully received by the community across the District.

nmddcFollowing on from the very successful public meetings held in February, residents in the Crotlieve, Downpatrick, Mournes, Newry and Slieve Gullion DEAs are cordially invited to attend the next meeting about funding opportunities for the range of services available.

If you currently have or hope to develop a project in the future, these meetings will provide details on sources of funding and also offer information on a wide range of additional services available. Details of the public meetings appear below.

Newry -xa0Thursday 30 June -xa07pm -xa0Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.

The public meetings will also give residents the opportunity to meet their DEA Forum members who represent a vast range of networks and identify what issues are important to local people as the Council develops its Community Plan.

The Policing and Community Safety Partnership will be in attendance to provide information in relation to their work and strategy. Each meeting will give advice on the variety of funding opportunities that are available to local group funded by the Rural Development Programme, Live Here Love Here, Social Investment Fund ‘Work It’, Awards for All Big Lottery Fund.
