Devlin Welcomes Movement On Newcastle Leisure Centre

dn_screenNewcastle SDLP Councillor Laura Devlin has spoken out following the striking of the rate in the new Newry, Mourne and Down Council.

Cllr Devlin said: “I am delighted that a new Leisure Centre / Gateway project for Newcastle has moved on a step with the inclusion of a site in the rates for this year.

“This project has been a long time in the mix and much needed by the people of Newcastle.

“Last week was very important for the future of Newcastle, as it now demonstrates the commitment of the new Newry Mourne and Down District Council to the people of Newcastle. It is a council of 41 members stretching widely from Crossmaglen to Saintfield.”
