Curran Promotes Coffee Morning For Macmillan Cancer

“The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”, this year on Friday 30th September for Macmillan Cancer Support. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is in its 21st year and is one of the largest fundraising events in the UK. Last year across Northern Ireland alone over 900 coffee mornings were held raising an amazing total of £180,000. This year with your help we want to make it the biggest ever. Macmillan’s fundraising manager in the area Joanne Young said, “Macmillan is available to all cancer patients and their families from the moment they receive their cancer diagnosis. Our doctors and nurses offer specialist medical care and emotional support, while our benefits advisors help cancer patients get the government benefits and grants they are entitled to. All the services we offer are essential, and we rely on the money raised from events like the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to fund them. So we are asking people across Down District to put a smile on their mug and help Macmillan reach more people affected by cancer in their area.” Fundraising manager Joanne Young added, “The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a really fun event that is so easy to take part in, especially as you can tailor it to suit yourself. If you can’t do it on 30th September, then pick another day, if you’re not keen on coffee and would rather have cocktails or even herbal tea then that’s fine as well. “All that matters is that you take part and help us raise more from this year’s coffee morning than ever before and remember that all money raised locally will be spent locally” To take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September go to www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee or call 0845 070 1315 to receive your free fundraising pack.]]>
