Crossgar Man Arrested Following Damage To Cars

dn_screenPolice in Downpatrick have arrested a male following a number of incidents of criminal damage in the Crossgar area.

Inspector Mills explained: “At approximately 6.30pm on 20 October, police received a report that criminal damage had been caused to cars parked in the Westlands area of Crossgar.

“Police attended the scene and ascertained that damage had been caused to four vehicles parked in the area. The vehicles had been scored with a knife.

“A short time later, police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of causing criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon. He has since been released on bail, pending further enquiries.”
