The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn is set to be one of five properties joining the Ireland’s Blue Book collection of country houses, historic hotels, and restaurants for 2023.

This will bring the total number of Northern Ireland properties in the Blue Book to six.

The Old Inn, The Old Inn, dating back to 1614, is labelled as one of the region’s most historic hotels due in part to its links with author and 20th Century Literary icon C.S. Lewis.

The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn will be entered in The Blue Book for 2023.

The hotel is bursting with character, from cosy corners and elegant interiors to the stunning views from the Treetop Spa over the beautiful country park.

The Restaurant is perfect for romantic evenings and ideal for refuelling after energetic adventures, offering a seasonal menu that marries homely classics with modern dining.

A destination for food lovers keen to try something different in a casual, yet elegant space, The Restaurant guarantees a delicious meal in stylish surroundings.

Guests can retire to the 1614 Bar; a quintessentially comfy, laid-back spot to while away the evening by roaring fires.

Commenting on the inclusion of the historic Inn, managing director Colin Johnston said: “We are delighted to join such a prestigious group of unique and historic hotels.

The Lansdowne Kenmare, Fernhill House & Gardens, Perryville House and private rental Tubbrid Castle will also be welcomed into the collection for 2023.

The new additions bring the total number of properties in the Ireland’s Blue Book collection to 63.
