Council Staff Perform Murder They Baked At Canal Court

Murder They Baked, had the Adam’s Apples of the diners gulping as the who-dun-it mystery unfolded!

Council Chairperson Councillor Roisin Mulgrew dressed up for the murder mystery night.

On Friday 7 July, Newry Mourne and Down District Council and the Canal Court Hotel and Spa presented ‘Murder They Baked’, a new murder mystery dinner experience.

Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said: “I am delighted with how successful ‘Murder They Baked’ was. I would like to congratulate the Council staff involved in delivering this event.”

“Over 80 people attended the event and it was great to see so many enjoying our local food and drink produce.”

Guests enjoyed a Shortcross Gin and Kilmegan Cider drinks reception on arrival followed by a delicious four-course meal using local food producers, along with an exciting evening of interaction with a professional cast to figure out the culprit in a lively murder mystery.

It was suspense to the last, down to the wire. And acted xa0out in a masterful way.
