Council Launches New Online Bin Collection Calendar For 2024-25
Newry Mourne and Down District Council has released its updated bin calendar schedule for 2024/25 online.
The calendar provides detailed information about waste collection days for Blue, Brown and Black bins as well as additional guidelines on Public Holiday Collections.
The new bin calendar schedule can be easily accessed and downloaded from the Council website: https://www.newrymournedown.org/weekly-bin-collection-and-calendar.
Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Cllr Valerie Harte said: “The Council’s focus remains on providing efficient waste management services while being mindful of the environment and climate change.
“By transitioning to digital distribution of the bin calendar, we are reducing paper waste and while we encourage this more sustainable approach, we also appreciate that some residents will require alternative arrangements.”
The Council appreciates that some residents may prefer to have a physical copy of the bin calendar. To accommodate their needs, there are alternative options:
Email Request: Residents can request a copy of the bin calendar to be emailed to them by contacting our dedicated customer service team at:

Postal Delivery: For those who require a printed copy, residents can request the bin calendar to be sent to their address via mail.

Any residents who had requested a paper copy by post last year will receive their calendar within the next week.
Self-Printing: Alternatively, residents can visit our website and choose to print a copy of the bin calendar for their reference at home.
