Comedian Kevin McAleer To Gig In Castlewellan

Kevin McAleer has influenced a whole generation of performers both in Ireland and the UK. His latest one-man show is already being described as his most original and most hilarious work ever, which is quite an accolade when you consider 20 years of mind-bending output, from the legendary early years on RTE’s ‘Nighthawks’ to his multi-award winning ‘Chalk & Cheese.’ McAleer’s live shows are a master-class in the fine arts of comic timing and delivery, and the writing is always concentrated and finely polished. In his latest show, McAleer plays with the building blocks of language like a child with a new toy, and the whole structure frequently comes crashing down to the sound of hysterical laughter.
