“Delicious melodrama…earthy vocals…a tightly disciplined mix of intimate rock & bluesy soul” says the Irish Times

Grace Wilde is a North Co. Dublin based band, fronted by singer songwriter Audrey Fay and guitarist Enda Duffy. Their debut EP ‘Bring me to my knees’ will be released on April 13th, accompanied by a provocative video for the title single. An Irish tour will see the band, with Vyvienne Long on cello at some of the shows, perform at venues across the country including a BELFAST CONCERT ON APRIL 24TH IN THE SUNFLOWER ON UNION STREET.  The EP is available via gracewilde.ie, iTunes and at gigs.

Grace Wilde’s front woman Audrey Fay is possessed of a potent, expressive voice ranging from delicate to powerhouse often within the same breath. Audrey explains the theme behind the single ‘Bring me to my knees’ – “It was written when I was a little younger & more troubled than I am now. It has dark confusing undertones, like the darker side of me. I felt I needed to experience those feelings, be open to them in order to heal & release. I still find the song itself and performing it to be an extremely cathartic process. It evokes provocative sexuality, control, strength & even goes as far as manipulation which essentially stemmed from my own fears and insecurity at the time. In writing ‘Bring Me To My Knees’ I faced my sexual ideas, fantasies, confusion & vulnerability head on”.

Blending elements of jazz, blues, soul, folk & rock, Grace Wilde’s impressive performances at the YouBloom Festival in Dublin led to an invitation to YouBloom LA 2014 in California. In Ireland Grace Wilde have been gathering fans through headline gigs at Whelan’s & other top venues leading The Ticket to award them ‘Gig of the Week’ in The Irish Times & to airplay on national radio.

The EP ‘Bring me to my Knees’ was recorded at Grouse Lodge & produced and engineered by TONY PLATT (Bob Marley, ACDC, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Boomtown Rats). Platt also recorded & produced a live acoustic album ‘Let Me In’ featuring Vyvienne Long on cello, available via gracewilde.ie & at gigs.

Audrey outlines the genesis of Grace Wilde “I began to write at age 20, which was when I first really got my teeth into it. I was single with 2 very young children & pretty much struggling along – but with music always being my very own beautiful escape. I met Enda Duffy in 2010 & we’ve been working together ever since. Grace Wilde is themed around opposites – to be graceful yet wild all at once. To encompass all sides of life, as we are, mere mortals both beautiful & ugly”.

Following their Irish tour Grace Wilde will tour Germany and Portugal in May followed by visits to Holland, Scandinavia, the UK and North America later in the year. Their debut album will be completed and released in the coming months.
