Come See Ghostbusters Retro In Down Arts Centre

Thirty-two years after the original release of Ghostbusters, the award-winning Wireless Mystery Theatre presents Ghostbusters…Retro on Saturday 29 October at 8pm.

Ghostbusters will be re-enacted like you’ve never seen before. The audience will see how it might have been originally transmitted if it were a 40’s radio play with live sound-effects, music, a swing cover of the famous Ray Parker Ghostbusters theme, and period commercials, to include a jingle for the ‘sponsor’ Stay Puft Marshmallows. Prepare for old-time scares. Although, as Egon Spengler says in the show: “I am not afraid of ghosts.”

Wireless Mystery Theatre is Northern Ireland’s only audio theatre company, specialising in live staged radio plays and broadcast material. They have toured the UK and the Republic of Ireland and their work has been commissioned for broadcast on BBC Radios 3 and 4, as well as in Canada, Germany, and the United States. Their work is also currently featured on British Airways in-flight entertainment.

Tickets are £12/£10 concession and can be purchased at the box office on 028 4461 0747. The Down Arts Centre Season Programme is available to download at:
