Come And Enjoy The Fun Filled Narnia Day

Newly Mourne and Down District Council, in association with the Mourne Mountains Landscape Partnership, is celebrating CS Lewis’s links with Rostrevor at Narnia Family Day on Saturday 18 November, from 11am to 4pm.

Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said: “The Council is delighted to celebrate the area’s links with CS Lewis by hosting this exciting and free Family Fun Day. The Narnia Trail in Kilbroney Park will come to life with interesting characters.

“You will also have the opportunity to sample some of the best produce that the area has to offer at the food village, where children can enjoy free hot chocolate. xa0Don’t miss the free face painting, photo booth, jumping clay, live local music and other entertainment on offer.”

Mourne Mountains Landscape Partnership Scheme Manager, Camilla Fitzpatrick said: “The Mourne Mountains Landscape Partnership is delighted to support this event as it raises awareness of the links that CS Lewis had with the Rostrevor area.”

On arrival at Kilbroney Park, make your way to the Ticket Desk where you can book onto a guided tour of the trail.xa0 Tours will start at 11.30am and will run every 15 minutes, with the final tour departing at 3.30pm.

There will be two sessions on offer for children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, learning disabilities or sensory and communication disorders.

These tours will facilitate smaller groups and will begin at 10.45am and 11.00am.xa0 Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.xa0 Prior booking is essential.
