Clarke Welcomes Signage At Donard Forest

frustrated with the lack of signage when trying to access the Mournes from Donard Park along the Glen River route into the Mourne.

Cllr Willie Clarke has welcomed the new signage at Donard Forest in Newcastle.

“I have also been contacted by Tourism accommodation providers in relation to this issue who were also concerned.

“It was paramount that adequate signage be installed for visitors entering the main route for hill walkers going into the Mournes to climb Slieve Donard and other peaks.”

Cllr Clarke added: “The high Mournes has seen a massive increase in visitors seeking to experience the great outdoors and the the additional signage will improve the visitor experience.”
