Clarke Welcomes Golf Links Road Drop Kerbs

Cllr Willie Clarke has welcomed road improvements with drop kerbs in Golf Links Road in Newcastle

Sinn Féin Newcastle Councillor Willie Clarke has thanked Department for Infrastructre (DfI) Roads Sectionxa0for working quickly to install dropped kerbs at Golf Links Road Newcastle.

Newcastle Councillor Willie Clarke asked the DfI for dropped kerbs on Golf Links Road and they obliged.

Cllr Clarke said: “Local residents raised this matter with me with a view to making the paths more accessible to the elderly and those using wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

“ I am delighted that following an on-site assessment with a Department official, the DfI have agreed to install a number of kerbs.

“This will make a huge difference to local residents and is very much welcomed,” said Cllr Clarke.
