th. Councillor Clarke said, “Following written representations to DRD Roads Service about this part of the Dundrum Road outside Newcastle, Roads Service Traffic Management now propose to replace the current ‘centre line’ marking with a ‘centre line hazard’ marking. “This work has been added to the current programme and should be completed by the end of August. “DRD Roads Service has also advised me that the PSNI have also identified this area of the Dundrum Road as one of their assigned safety camera sites and it will therefore be targeted for increased levels of enforcement.” “Given that this part of the Dundrum Road outside Newcastle has had a number of car accidents due to cars overtaking, the proposed works by DRD Roads Service and monitoring by the PSNI will increase the safety of this stretch of the Dundrum Road.”]]>
