Christmas In Rowallane Is Just Round The Corner

There’s no better way to get into the spirit of Christmas than by bringing the family down to Rowallane’s annual Yuletide Market on Saturday and Sundayxa09- 10 December fromxa011am-5pm.

Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick takes a selfie last Christmas with Rudolf.

A weekend full of festive cheer that includes a Christmas market with lots of stalls selling perfect presents and handmade stocking fillers by local traders. Saint field’s very own Head Gardener, Averil will be there selling her stunning handmade festive floral art pieces, made with cuttings grown at Rowallane.

As you browse around the market, you will be treated to the smell of all the deliciously tempting food on offer and the sounds of traditional carols sung by local carollers.

For the little ones, there will be donkey rides and a beautiful carousel. If you want to come inside to get warm, why not enjoy a mince pie and hot tea by our open lit fire. Just make sure you keep an eye out for the big man in the red suit who, might make a surprise appearance during the day!

As well as the Yuletide Market weekend, there are lots of other festive activities happening throughout December to keep you busy in the run-up to Santa’s arrival. Keep an eye out for our Christmas tree made from old books from our bookshop and our festive wellington boot tree planters! Bring your little helpers to our craft table where they can create their own Christmas cards and from 16-24 December, you’ll also be able to decorate your own Gingerbread man in our cafe.

Standard admission prices apply and National Trust members are free.
