The Cheltenham races are always very popular with race-goers from Downpatrick and across County Down but as the event draws closer next month there has been concern at massive travel and accommodation hikes in the lead up to the races.

Cheltenham Festival hotel prices have sky-rocketed by nearly 300 PER CENT and £38 train journeys soar to more than £100.

Analysis from data experts atxa0OLBGxa0of hotel, Airbnb, and train ticket prices reveals an alarming trend of price hikes, with some costs soaring by nearly 300% during the week of the races.
