Check Out The Council Epic Experience Workshops

Newry Mourne and Down District Council has just launched their five year Tourism Strategy for the District, with a focus on developing visitor destination experiences that will deliver ‘Epic moments’ to residents and visitors alike.

Recent trends in travel are showing that visitors want more of an experience from their travels and to explore the place, meet the people, hear our stories and build memories from their time here.

Two workshops are being held to help bring this initiative forward; the initial workshop will take place on Tuesday 4 April in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry from 10am to 1pm, and a sample Epic Experience will be from 1pm to 4pm, while the second workshop will take place on Wednesday 5 April at Winterfell, Castle Ward Demense, Strangford, from 10am to 1pm, with a sample Epic Experience from 1pm to 4pm

These workshops will be used to brainstorm ideas for Epic Experiences that will attract a national and international audience. In this workshop we will be looking at similar destinations and what works for them as well as what will appeal to visitors to Northern Ireland.

If you are interested in these workshops, confirm your attendance by contacting Newry Visitor Information Centre on 028 3031 3170 or email: [email protected]. Alternatively, you can contact Newcastle Visitor Information Centre on 028 4372 2222 or email [email protected]
