Cat Loses Leg After Air Rifle Attack In Crossgar

dn_screenIt is believed the cat was shot with an air rifle sometime between Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th May in the area of Kilwood Crescent in Crossgar. As a result, the cat had to have one of its legs amputated.

Constable Claire Gilmore said: “This was a particularly nasty attack which left the cat’s owner very distressed. If you witnessed this incident or have any information that would assist in the investigation, please contact police in Downpatrick on 101.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
