On Saturday our Year 4 footballers travelled to Kilclief to take part in an East Down Blitz. The children performed strongly in all their game’s and had some fine displays throughout the panel with great interplay, tackling and score taking bring displayed – well done everyone. Special thanks to the large number of parents whom assisted with transportation, your continued support is greatly appreciated by the coaching team writes Brian Cunningham.

This Autumn Castlewellan GAC is putting on one of its most ambitious shows yet as it produces its first musical ‘Greasy’, which, as you might have guessed, is based on the famous stage musical and film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.

This project will involve acting, fun props and costumes, a new stage, jokes, singing, dancing, videos and live music both on stage and supporting as the selected cast and crew perform the songs that you all know and can sing along to!  Ciaran Milligan has again adapted the script to set the musical with a local twist and according to those who have been close to the action it is looking very impressive and will be up there with the best local entertainment you will see all year.

There are old and new faces involved, all of which we will reveal over the next number of weeks leading up to the nights of performance on 11th and 12th September.  Tickets will be £10 and will be available both online on our website (details to follow) and Walkers newsagents so remember to get in early to purchase these to avoid disappointment.  Keep an eye out for our posters and promotional video which will be on our Facebook and Twitter pages in the near future.  Remember to come along and support your club #UTT

Down Ladies GAA Senior Championship Final Castlewellan v Carryduff will take place on Saturday 29 August 2015, throw in 4pm in Hilltown, come along and show your support for our girls.
