Joining the existing range of cook-at-home chip shop favourites – which include Tony’s Chippy Pasties, Battered Burgers and Battered Sausages – the new products have been developed to appeal not only to the Northern Irish market, but to Scottish consumers in particular.

A Battered Sausage Supper, two types of Munchie Boxes, Black Pudding Fritters and Crispy Haggis Bites will be available in 79 Iceland locations from the end of June 2020. The products will be merchandised in their own dedicated branded freezer and the RRP will range from £2 to £3.

TS Foods is based in Castlewellan where it has been for over 40 years since it was started by Tony and Ann Steele in 1978 and it is anticipated that the listing is worth over £300,000 for the family-run company.

Managing Director, Joanne Molloy, said: “We have worked closely with Iceland for the last number of years, including the development and production of the Q-Award winning mini-corn dogs under their own label.

Some of the products TS Foods have developed in the past 40 years.

“To now secure a multi-SKU listing for our own brand with such a popular retailer is a massive achievement for us, particularly during these uncertain times.”
Joanne Molloy added:  “Tony’s Chippy was the first ‘brand’ TS Foods offered to consumers over four decades ago. We are so pleased that the range continues to evolve and remains relevant to today’s consumer.”
Paul Dhaliwal, Trading Manager at Iceland also commented: “Over the last few months, as retailers we have been working harder than ever to bring our customers exciting and diverse offerings to enjoy at home to keep in-home dining interesting and fresh.

“As always, we’ve enjoyed working alongside TS Foods in the development of this exciting new range and are certain our customers will enjoy these products which are available in 43 Scottish and 36 Northern Irish stores.”
