Castlewellan Food Firm TS Foods Does Deal With Iceland

TS FOODS LANDS HOT DEAL WITH FROZEN RETAILER ICELAND.

One ofxa0Northern Ireland’s leading chilled and frozen food producer from Castlewellan – TS Foods, a major employer in the town – have added a number of new products to their iconic Tony’s Chippy range, which are launching exclusively in Iceland stores across Northern Ireland & Scotland.

Joining the existing range of cook-at-home chip shop favourites – which include Tony’s Chippy Pasties, Battered Burgers and Battered Sausages – the new products have been developed to appeal not only to the Northern Irish market, but to Scottish consumers in particular.xa0

A Battered Sausage Supper, two types of Munchie Boxes, Black Pudding Fritters and Crispy Haggis Bites will be available in 79 Iceland locations from the end of June 2020.xa0The products will be merchandised in their own dedicated branded freezer and the RRP will range from £2 to £3.

TS Foods is based in Castlewellan where it has been for over 40 years since it was started by Tony and Ann Steele in 1978 and it is anticipated that the listing is worth over £300,000xa0for the family-run company.

Managing Director, Joanne Molloy, said: “We have worked closely with Iceland for the last number of years, including the development and production of the Q-Award winning mini-corn dogs under their own label.

Some of the products TS Foods have developed in the past 40 years.

“To now secure a multi-SKU listing for our own brand with such a popular retailer is a massive achievement for us, particularly during these uncertain times.”
Joanne Molloy added:xa0 “Tony’s Chippy was the first ‘brand’ TS Foods offered to consumers over four decades ago. We are so pleased that the range continues to evolve and remains relevant to today’s consumer.”
