Castlewellan Business Leader Recognised At Prestigious Directors’ Awards

The renowned Institute of Directors Northern Ireland (IoD NI) Director of the Year Awards took place this year at Belfast’s Merchant Hotel and with Joanne Molloy of TS Foods in Castlewellan picked up a coveted award.

The Commercial Director of the Castlewellan-based food company was nominated by her fellow board members in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the company over the last 12 months. TS Foodsxa0was formed in 1978 by husband and wife team Tony and Ann Steele.

The awards are designed to celebrate strong leadership and corporate governance, and recognise excellence across the business community, with Joanne was entered into the Family Business Director of the Year category.

Brian McErlain of Genesis Bakery picked up the award at the ceremony, but Joanne received the only ‘Highly Commended’ award of the day due to the standard of her entry.

The family run TS Foodsxa0has a Grade A quality accreditation from the British Retail Consortium and operates from its original site on Mary Street in Castlewellan. It has been bringing beloved brands including Tony’s Chippy and The Stuffing Company to trade and consumers alike for the last 35 years.
