Armed Robbery At Carryduff Off-Sales

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at an off-sales in Carryduff on Sunday 2 October.

Shortly before 9pm a man armed with what was described as a black ‘pistol type weapon’ entered the store on Queensway. He brandished the firearm and threatened a staff member, demanding money and cigarettes.

He then left on foot with a sum of cash along with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.

The suspect is described as around 5’ 8” tall, wearing a dark navy top and bottoms, and gloves. He was also carrying a backpack and had obscured his face with a scarf and by pulling up the hood of his top.

Detectives are asking witnesses or anyone who may have captured dashcam footage in the area at around the time of the robbery to please get in touch.

They are especially keen to speak to a man using an electric scooter who was believed to be in the vicinity. The number to call is 101, quoting reference 1869 02/10/22.
