Sinn Féin Councillor Stephen Burns has welcomed the start of a tendering process for the construction of a new play park in Ballykinler.

Speaking on the development, Cllr Burns said:xa0“This is great news for the people of Ballykinler as this facility is long overdue in the community.

“I have been lobbying hard to ensure that this facility is delivered and in the fastest possible time.

“It is my understanding that the tendering process is now underway for the construction of the play park and that this should be completed by the end of the summer.

“Ballykinler is fully deserving of state of the art facilities and hopefully this play park is the first of many projects that will be completed in the area.”
