Councillorr Burns said:xa0“I was contacted last week by business people on Castlewellan Main Street who were concerned that the placement of public bins close to the entrance of their premises was attracting bees to the area and stinging customers who were entering and leaving the business. Business owners were rightly concerned that this inconvenience to customers would harm trade.

“I contacted Down District Council and requested that the bins be moved away from the shop fronts. I want to thank the Council for acting so swiftly in carrying this out, and easing the concerns of the business people and general public in Castlewellan.”
