Burns Is Newry Chamber Banquet Speaker

GAA President Jarleth Burns is confirmed as the guest speaker for the annual Newry Chamber President’s Banquet

GAA President Jarlath Burns will be the guest speaker at the highly anticipated Newry Chamber President’s Banquet which take places on Friday 17th October from 12 noon – 4pm in the Canal Court Hotel. 

Supported by Wood InnovationsCanal Court Hotel & Spa and Ulster Bank, the Banquet is one of the highlights of the business year in the city, with over 200 guests expected from businesses and organisations across the Greater Newry Area.

MC for this year’s Banquet is Broadcaster & Journalist, Sarah Travers who will be in conversation with Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael and the recipient of this year’s prestigious President’s Award will be announced on the day.

This award is presented to an individual in recognition of their exceptional vision, leadership and commitment to the economic development of the Greater Newry Area.

Guests will enjoy a 3-course meal, live music, and a great opportunity to host clients, customers and staff in a celebration of all that is great about doing business in the Greater Newry Area.

Looking ahead to what promises to be a memorable afternoon, Chamber President, Edwina Flynn, said:

“I am looking forward to hearing about his time in office to date and how leading an organisation like the GAA compares to leading a business.

Jarlath is an excellent public speaker with an engaging personality who has brought a new dimension to the role of Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, and I have no doubt he will be a big attraction.
