Burns Calls For Remedial Work To Castlewellan Flooding Problem

dn_screenSinn Féin Councillor Stephen Burns has raised the issued of constant flooding on footpaths in St Malachy’s Crescent, Castlewellan. Councillor Burns said:xa0“Every time we have a bout of inclement weather, the footpaths in St Malachy’s Crescent flood causing pedestrians to use the roadway. “This is a safety concern especially for children or parents pushing prams and it needs to be rectified. “I have written to the NI Housing Executive asking them to investigate why this flooding is reoccurring and have requested remedial works be carried out immediately.”
