Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) in memory of her beloved husband Nicky. The defibrillator has arrived and will be available at all matches. It will be formally presented to the club in October writes Michael McCartan At the moment donations are being received from members for the purchase of accessories that are vital to the storage and usage on the type of PAD the club has received. This is very much appreciated as it releases the Club from any debt in relation to this. Thank you to those members who have already made donations. All other members will have an opportunity to make a donation towards the accessories at this Friday’s home match against Saval. "][/caption] Twelve members have completed Basic Life Support and AED (Defibrillator) training. If any other member wishes to avail of Basic Life Support and AED (Defibrillator) training please contact Michael Mc Cartan michaelmccartan@hotmail.com or 07809146830 for further details. It is proposed to run a two -hour Community Life Support course in the Sports Hall in the near future. This course will cover aspects of bleeding, choking, shock and training in CPR in adults. Life Support Trainers will be giving of their time voluntarily but to cover on-course expenses a fee of £5 has had to be applied. There will be a Certificate of Attendance available for candidates. Please leave names with Michael McCartan. Tickets will be available from next week for the ‘20th Anniversary Down v Meath 1991 All Ireland Final Panel Discussion’ to be held in the Club on 22nd October. Please note that this event is open to everyone and is not solely a club event. Due to the considerable, high level of interest in this event already, it is anticipated that demand will surpass the number of tickets available. Tickets will be issued on a first come basis.
