Award-winning restaurant Brunel’s, in Newcastle, County Down, has announced the appointment of new head chef John McTeer, who returns to Northern Ireland after working at one of the UK’s top restaurants.

John joins the acclaimed restaurant fresh from working under Angela Hartnett MBE at the Merchant Tavern in Shoreditch. In his time there the restaurant gained many prestigious awards including two AA rosettes and a Michelin plate.
