Bright Credit Union, who have thoughtfully donated a defibrillator to the Club. This is undoubtedly a hugely kind donation and is appreciated by all at the club. It is a lifesaving piece of equipment that should indeed be available at every club in the country. Good luck to Corey Ranaghan and Conor Black and everyone on the East Down U-14 development squad who are playing North Armagh in Lurgan this Saturday. Festival Week continues this weekend August 26-28th 2011 starting with a quiz night in the SOS Bar, Killough on Friday. It would be great to see a good turnout of members/players at what aims to be a great night’s craic, £10 entry per team of five. Sunday 28th August will begin with a fun run at 1pm (registration at 12.30pm) followed by many activities at Bright Pitches at including Bright U-8’s and U-10’s challenge matches, U-14’s skills competition, (registration at 1.30pm), Skittles, (registration at 1.30pm), Over-45’s challenge match, slow bike race, bouncy castles, Wii Dance for Primary kids, Primary School races and many more activities should prove to be a great family day out. It’s deeply saddening to see talented young players getting seriously hurt especially at this young level. Praying for a speedy recovery for you Cormac.
