The next club committee meeting has been changed to Wednesday 13 May at 7.30pm in Bright Community Centre writes Cyril McKinney.Â
Bright senior men’s team entertained near neighbours Ardglass last Monday night and despite the young guns of Bright leading at half time, Ardglass came out fast at the start of the second and turned the game with two quick goals. Bright showed a lot of hunger as the second half wore on but a mix of wasted possession and missed scoring opportunities saw the game drift away from them. On a positive note there was some great passages of play from this youthful Bright team and some fine scores taken and this augers well for the future if this squad sticks together. The club wishes to thank all those who supported the night at the races in Minerstown on Saturday night especially sponsors of the races, businesses who took out adverts and to those who bought horses. Thanks also to Sean Rogan for the hospitality and to those who turned out on the night. Like with all fundraisers it would of been good to have had a bigger crowd but those there had a good night’s craic.
Bingo continues in Bright community Centre every Sunday night.
