The Bright GAC notes for the week ending the 24th October 2021

Daibhi Ennis received a special award from Bright GAC chairman Noel Burke.

The committee and members of Bright GAC wishes to extend sympathy and condolences to the family of Kieran Duffy, Killough, who passed away recently. Kieran was a gentleman and our thoughts and prayers are with the Duffy family circle at this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace.

Bright GAC is looking to create a festive atmosphere at the community centre for the Christmas period.

If anyone has any unwanted or unused Christmas decorations and /or Christmas Trees that they could donate please get in touch.

Contact the club Facebook page or any member of the committee asap!!The club held their under 17 presentations recently writes Cyril McKinney.

Gerard McAuley receives his award from Jimmy Digney.

Congratulations to our under-17 squad who won a league title under the management of Noel Burke and Jimmy Digney.

U17 individual Award winners were Gerard Maculey, Player of Year; Tony Crane, Sportsman of the Year; and Ryan Hackett, Most Improved Player.

A special presentation was made to Daibhi Ennis who suffered a serious injury during the season and the Bright club, management and players wish him well in his recovery and we hope to see this very talented young man back in the Bright colours as soon as possible.

As this successful season draws to a close we are already planning ahead for next season and we need coaches and volunteers to help support and develop our young players at all age levels.

Tiny Crane received his award from Jimmy Digney.

We are keen to hear from anyone including parents with time on their hands and/or an interest in getting involved in our club.

Over the winter months we have organised training for our coaches and volunteers. This season we have experienced large numbers at training- at times over 120 at our under 7 and under 9 training.

We are delighted with the interest shown and want to provide these young players of the future with the opportunity to develop their skills and therefore Bright GAC need your help/support to enable us to do that.

In the first instance either send a message to our page and/or contact Aimee Grant, youth officer.Help us provide a BRIGHT future for our youth.
