Bright GAC Notes For 1st February 2016

dn_screenThere will be a committee meeting on Wednesday 3rd Feb at 7.30pm at Bright Community Centre. Full attendance at this meeting please.

The club is currently seeking coaches / mentors / volunteers to help manage juvenile teams. Anyone who has time on their hands are welcome to get involved and support our future. Child protection training is available for all juvenile coaches and will be notified when training is available.

County Board tickets are still available and with every ticket now sold the club will receive £96 so every ticket helps. Anyone buying a county board ticket gets their membership of Bright included. Tickets available from any committee member Saturday 13th February- A valentines 80’s Disco theme night in Bright Community Centre – Romance the night away as you did way back then with a late Bar! Fancy dress is encouraged and admission is £10 which will include a light supper.

Sunday 28th February- The Bright Big breakfast returns in Bright Community Centre from 10am to 1pm. Such was the success of the last one join us for Sunday breakfast and leave cooking to others!

* adult student player ( on production of current student card) £25
* senior citizen £15
* family membership (2 non playing adults plus c children) £70 + £5 per child thereafter.

The Down Referee’s Administration Committee are currently seeking to recruit new football and hurling referees for the 2016 season. Full training shall be provided for new recruits in accordance with guidelines set down by the National Referees Committee in Croke Park.

Ideal candidates are young people that are either still playing or have recently retired from our games. At first glance a lot of people might well ask, “Who would be a referee”, but it is a role that quite apart from being essential to the future of our games, has many benefits and rewards. Anyone interested get in touch with Martin Ranaghan or Phyllis Laird Sharvin.

Bingo continues every Sunday night in Bright Community Centre.
