dn_screenBright seniors travelled to St Michael’s on Friday night and though they were missing a few key players things still looked promising. Bright’s first attempt at a score was denied by the post. St Michael’s were first to put a score on the board with a point before conor doyle tesponded with his first 2 points. Great defending by Joseph Farrand ensured that St Michael’s didnt score again until the 16th minute.

Caolan Taggart’s shot for goal was denied by the keeper but Conor Doyle was on hand for the deflection and ensured the ball found its way to the back of the net. St Michael’s other 3 scores in the first hlf came in the form of frees. With the half time score bright 1-6 to st michaels 0-5 it seemed that Bright struggled in  mid-field and did not take enough advantage of the wind therefore were short on scores to secure a win.

Great defensive work from Joe Farrand ensured that their second chance of goal was denied. Holding right 15 mins before they had their first score Bright looked down and out. The addition of Eamonn McKinney resulted in Bright’s second goal and a couple of points from Gareth George which saw the boys beaten by 2 points. Final score was St Michaels 0-16 Bright 2-8.
(Conor doyle 1-3 Gareth george 0-3 Rian Tempany 0-2 Eamon Mckinney 1-0.)
