Border Cup Final Nets Funds For Cancer Focus

Robert Doherty and Terry Pateman of the Northern Amateur Football League presented £550 towards the work of Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.

This fantastic total was raised at half-time during the Border Regiment Cup Final 2014 at Seaview on 27 December between Ards Rangers and Downpatrick.

Suzi McIwain, Community Fundraising Manager for Cancer Focus NI, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to Terry Pateman and the league for their fantastic support of Cancer Focus NI and for everyone who so generously donated.

“This money will be used to support cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland, as well as funding ground- breaking research and helping children and their families make healthier lifestyle choices.”
