Beware of Pay Day Loan Scams Says PSNI

Police in are advising members of the public of a Pay Day Loan scam.

Aimed at those most in need of a bit of extra cash during the leaner times of the month, thisxa0scam asks people to pay an administration fee of £85 – £250 upfront, before receiving any monies. Once this money has been received the victim receives no money at all and is left the poorer of the upfront fee, adding more pressure to the situation.

A PSNI officer rang the number provided by a caller who was dubious of the offer they received.xa0xa0The number with a London dialling code was on divert to India and after many requests the male stated his name was Tom Morris and gave the e-mail -xa0[email protected]
