Barry McIlduff Signing Book This Wednesday

Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane is encouraging people to come along on Wednesday night 5 December and meet her party colleague Barry McElduff  MLA who is holding a book signing session at The Lodge Business and Cultural Centre in Castlewellan at 8pm.

Ms. Ruane said: “Barry McElduff is one of the biggest characters in politics today and he will be signing copies of his new book ‘Keep ‘Er Lit’ at 8pm on Wednesday at the Lodge in Castlewellan.

“Barry apart from being a very hard working constituency MLA is also a man with a great sense of humour and his book reflects both sides of his character.

“The book comprises stories about his life including his involvement in politics and his love of the GAA as well as anecdotal stories of his life during the conflict.

“I would call on people to come along for a night of craic and meet Barry over a cup of tea or coffee and listen about his life in politics.”

Barry McIlduff did a tour of every county in Ireland earlier this year and kicked a point in a gaelic football pitch to fundraise for the homeless people across Ireland. When he arrived in Kilcoo,  he must have been impressed with the Kilcoo GAC motto ‘Keep ‘er lit’ emblazoned at the side of the Lough Island Reavey reservoir beside the Kilcoo pitch is large letters.
