Ballynahinch PR Agency RNN Communications Scoops Top Award

Ballynahinch-based PR agency RNN Communications has scooped the top prize for the Outstanding Small PR Consultancy at the recent Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Northern Ireland PRide Awards, held at The Culloden Hotel, Belfast on Friday  23 October.

Established just under three years ago by Senior PR Consultant Riki Neill, RNN Communications was awarded the title of Outstanding Small PR Consultancy, seeing off competition from three other agencies competing for the top spot.

The judges said: “What is really impressive about RNN is that it is a business founded with a clear purpose and principles that it lives by, which in turn, alignsiiu with those of its target clients”.

Further to this, the judges also commented on RNN Communications’ eco-office, saying: “Despite the significant time that creating an office must have taken, the consultancy has continued to grow turnover over the past 12 months, making them a worthy winner.”

Now in its 12th year, the CIPR PRide Awards are the most credible UK-wide awards in the public relations industry. The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding campaigns, PR professionals and agencies across nine UK nations and regions.

Working across Ireland, RNN Communications is an integrated agency that delivers solutions for clients, through intelligent, creative and engaging communications. Earlier this year, RNN established three divisions: RNN Comms, RNN Green and RNN Digital and the agency has won a number of high profile new accounts.

“Since founding the agency in late 2012, our company has grown, largely through word of mouth and referrals, and although we’re still small, we’ve huge ambitions!” said Director of RNN Communications, Riki Neill.

Ms Neill added: “We work hard. Delivering integrated communications for clients in both Northern Ireland and Ireland takes huge effort as we have to know both markets inside out. That’s what makes this award so special. It’s recognition for those efforts and for how much the business has achieved in just three short years!”

This CIPR PRide award is the latest award win for the agency, following national acknowledgement for its client work just two weeks ago. RNN Communications’ campaign for its retail client, Gala, was named as the ‘Best Sponsorship by a Retailer’ in Ireland at the national FMCG awards, further endorsing the quality of the agency’s ideas and execution.

Riki Neill is a member of Down Business Connect, the Downpatrick-based networking group and the RNN Communications’ team includes digital and communications specialists, Jolene Kelly from Glassdrumman and Jill McLernon from Carryduff.

In April, Riki was named as one of the Top 40 business people under 40 in Northern Ireland for the second consecutive year.
