Autoline Joins Forces With Abbey Insurance

New Name in Local Insurance is a Big Deal for Downpatrick.

Two of Northern Ireland’s most established local insurance brokers, Abbey Insurance and Autoline Insurance have joined forces to become AbbeyAutoline from today (1 September 2020).

Julie Gibbon is the Managing Director of the newly combined insurance broking business which will operate from its branch in Irish Street in Downpatrick.

AbbeyAutoline now has 22 branches province wide and employs 470 staff, making it the biggest insurance broker in Northern Ireland. 

Julie Gibbons said: “This is one of the most significant moves in the local insurance industry in decades.xa0

“As a combined business, we are very excited to bring AbbeyAutoline customers in Downpatrick, County Down and Northern Ireland-wide, a broader range of products, which encompasses competitive Car and Home Insurance, along with Travel, Van, Motorbike, Taxi, Farm and Business Insurance.

“As AbbeyAutoline, while we will be bigger, we will remain firmly focused on delivering the same trusted, expert, personal customer care that has successfully grown our two businesses for almost five decades.”

All current policy holders can be assured that their existing policies are unaffected by the move.
