U16’s & U14’s training will be held at 12.30 pm in Annsborough this Sunday. There was a superb turn out but still some faces yet to return. Now is the time to stake your claim for a starting berth. The U14’s and U16’s will both field in the East Down 13 aside competitions and so we need all available players turning out regularly this season. Challenge games for both squads have been arranged for Sunday 13th & 20th March in Annsborough.

The U14’s will attend the Féile Péil na nÓg in Newry on Easter Monday 28th March.

The U16’s first league match is Thursday 31st March while their U14 counterparts begin Monday 4th April.

A dental technician from Sporting Smiles has been provisionally booked to attend the Fin Hall Annexe this Sunday from 1.30 to 2.30 pm to take impressions for the custom made mouthguards. They cost £30 and can be clear or in choice of colours with name inscribed. We need to have a minimum of 10 taking up this offer. If anyone wants to attend please contact Gerard (0785 426 2858) before this Wednesday 8 pm. If any neighbouring clubs have members requiring this service feel free to get in touch to arrange time slot to attend.

In cultural news, some of our underage members, who attend Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche Irish Medium primary school and who are fluent in Irish, took part in their version of the Wizard of Oz recently at Newry Arts Centre. The cast included Genevieve Lenaghan, Dualta Pickering, Kevin McComiskey, Anthony Quinn, Niall Dornan & Poipin Murphy. They and their co-stars from the school were brilliant and thankfully the judges thought so as well with the school progressing as best musical to the Ulsters. We wish them the very best of luck with that. Maith síbh.

Numbers this week are 6, 15, 21, 27. No winners. Jackpot £1,600.
