Armstrong Raises Awareness On Less Survivable Cancers

Less Survivable Cancer Awareness To Be Promoted in 2024

Are you aware of Less Survivable Cancers?

Strangford Alliance representative Kellie Armstrong MLA, is raising awareness about Less Survivable Cancers.

The Less Survivable Cancers include those that impact the brain, liver, lung, stomach, oesophagus, and pancreatic cancers.

Strangford MLA Kellie Armstrong says there will be more awareness building through 2024 on less survivable cancers.

The Less Survivable Cancers Coalition started their annual awareness campaign on the 11th January 2024. Throughout the coming year the charities will spread messages about the symptoms of these cancers which are often vague and too-easily missed.

Kellie Armstrong MLA, who sits on the All Party Group on Cancer said: “I support the call for renewed focus and energy to improve outcomes for these six diseases.

“If you feel that something isn’t right with your health, don’t take the chance and please go to see you GP. It’s better to be checked to ensure you do not have a less known or less survivable cancer”.
