County Down Builders win ‘Pride in the Job’ awards.
Strangford Alliance MLA Kellie Armstrong has congratulated Portavogie based builder Graham Donnan at a special site visit to the Rock Development’s ‘Blackrock Hollow’ scheme in Newtownards.Â
She met up with NHBC Regional Director Padraig Venney and Graham Donnan of Rock Developments, a Pride in the Job award winning site manager.
“It was great to meet up with Graham Donnan and see his work first hand. He is the local winner of a 2021 award at the Pride in the Job Awards, also known as the ‘Oscars of the housebuilding industry.
“This meant he was in the top 5% of the more than 10,000 entries considered from across the UK. Graham will now move on to the Regional Awards stage taking place in the Autumn. The winners at this stage then go to the Supreme Awards in January.”
The NHBC are looking for “most outstanding site managers” through the ‘A Pride in the Job’ award. This is the most prestigious industry award that a site manager can achieve.
A spokesperson for the NHBC said: “As we move into the next decade of building at volume, skills shortages and increasing consumer demands, exceptional site managers have never been more important.
