Ards Hospital Team Walk For Dementia NI

Dementia NI receives support from Ards Hospital Team in a walk from Bangor to Hollywood

Almost £2,000 has been raised for Dementia NI after a team from Ards Hospital came together for the fundraising challenge which saw the group walk from Bangor to Holywood.

The group raised £1,800 with all the funds raised going to support the work of Dementia NI as it continues to help those living with the condition.

Staff from Ards Hospital walked from Bangor to Hollywood in support of Dementia NI.

Ards Hospital Dementia Companion Rebekah Kernohan shared how organising the walk with colleagues, and supporting the work of Dementia NI, and said: “Dementia is something that I am incredibly passionate about.”

“I wanted to bring our staff together for this sponsored walk, not only to raise vital funds but also to increase awareness of Dementia both within the ward and throughout the wider community.

“What makes supporting Dementia NI particularly special is knowing that all of the money we raise will directly support people living with dementia in Northern Ireland, making a difference to local people and their families.”
