Ards Hospital Dementia Companion Rebekah Kernohan shared how organising the walk with colleagues, and supporting the work of Dementia NI, and said: “Dementia is something that I am incredibly passionate about.”
“I wanted to bring our staff together for this sponsored walk, not only to raise vital funds but also to increase awareness of Dementia both within the ward and throughout the wider community.
“What makes supporting Dementia NI particularly special is knowing that all of the money we raise will directly support people living with dementia in Northern Ireland, making a difference to local people and their families.”
