Ards Council Invests £55K In Portaferry Sports Centre

Ards Borough Council has invested £55K in a new fit-out at Portaferry Sports Centre. The substantial spend has brought 22 new spin bikes to the centre, as well as a range of new cardio vascular equipment for Momentum, the centre’s gym, which now also includes treadmills, upright cycles, and total body arc trainers. Mayor of Ards, Councillor Stephen McIlveen, said:xa0“This latest investment brings our Portaferry Centre bang up to date, with modern facilities and a variety of fitness classes also on offer.

“Having this standard of leisure provision in a rural community is vitally important and I hope even more local people will take advantage of the great facilities on their doorstep”. There’s still time to take out a pre-Christmas offer on a 6-week Momentum membership, which gives 20% off the normal charge, bringing the cost to £56.
